As a Wisconsin native with two grown sons who are talented musicians, Lisa's life has always been rich with music and culture. Her passion for travel was ignited in 1987 when she spent a year as an exchange student in Salamanca, Spain. This transformative experience opened her eyes to the beauty of exploring new places and cultures, and she has been an avid traveler ever since.
In her professional life, she is a Spanish teacher, a role that allows her to combine her love for languages with her enthusiasm for sharing the world with others. Over the years, she has had the privilege of leading numerous trips abroad with both students and adults, each journey an opportunity to dive deep into the languages and traditions of other countries. Lisa is passionate about immersing herself in different cultures, and one of her favorite aspects of travel is trying local foods and beverages. From bustling markets to quaint eateries, she relishes the chance to taste authentic dishes and learn about the culinary traditions of each place she visits.
When she is not traveling, Lisa enjoys cooking at home, experimenting with recipes inspired by her travels. Music is also a constant in her life, and she loves listening to a diverse array of genres.

Meet Ali, a Turkish native who is passionate about food and cooking. Ali started working in the kitchen when he was 15 years old and that is when he discovered his passion for food. He studied Culinary Arts both in Turkey and in the States. After getting his associate degree in Turkey, he received a scholarship to study culinary arts overseas at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL. While stateside, Ali worked for the high-end Michelin-starred restaurant: BOKA in Downtown Chicago. After graduation, he jetted back to Istanbul to continue his career as a chef specializing in Molecular Gastronomy. Apart from being a Chef, he loves eating out and traveling to other countries to explore new flavor profiles, wines, cultures, and more. Ali has traveled to Japan, Greece, Cyprus, numerous Balkan countries, the United States, and many cities within Turkey. He loves exploring new countries and he is a good resource when it comes to local foods, ingredients, and food pairings. We first met Andrea a few short years ago while dining in Amalfi, and the magnificent food and his superb service kept us coming back. No matter how busy, Andrea always found a table for us and once even gifted us a dozen of his farm-fresh eggs for breakfast the next morning. His welcoming charm and genuine friendship make him a true gem.
